About us

All are most welcome to join us in worship and fellowship.  We are a caring, inviting and giving community in the Body of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

We are part of the Anglican Communion and a member of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark.

"...the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve..."   Matthew 20:28

Our Lord said these words to Saint James over 2,000 years ago.  Today, St. James' Episcopal Church in Ridgefield, New Jersey continues this mission as we follow in the footsteps of our patron saint.

Our parish has a long tradition of community service, outreach and ecumenical leadership.  We participate in a Good Friday journey walk, a food bank and other community services.

Established in 1868 the church building was rebuilt after a fire in 1907. We continue in a long tradition of a warm, friendly oriented parish as we worship and share good fellowship together.  Please visit us and join us.
